The joy of discipleship is evident from all of Scripture. From the partnerships of Moses and Joshua, Elijah and Elisha, Jesus and twelve men, to Paul and Timothy and Titus, we see at least two lives being shared to learn about the glory of Christ. As the pastors of First Baptist, we have made the Gospel, and thus discipleship, a watershed issue. You cannot come into our doors without sensing the importance of this principle. I (Charlie) was discipled by godly men who set a passion in me to disciple others. That is where my Associate came into the picture.
In 2005, as a struggling college student I (Nick) was captivated by the love of Christ through Charlie. We started our journey together to run the race with our eyes on the cross. I grew more in that first year of discipleship in almost 20 years of being in the church. I had never heard of this discipleship idea before but it was desperately what I needed. Today I am honored to serve beside my spiritual father. Together we are passionate about bringing the joy of our Savior to you through a life of discipleship.
