Welcome to First Baptist Church ministry to youth and families. Our focus is to partner with, equip, and bring the hope of Christ to parents in order to join them in the process of discipling their children. We believe in pursuing after families in the culture they live in while being saturated in the Word of God so that we might see Christ transform them and the world around them. Our students are subject to some of the most painful and confusing circumstances because of the current state of our culture. We are a nation without absolute truth, a consistent set of morals, and overall in the words of a great pastor, "We have fired God." At FBC Amery we believe that the only hope and lasting joy for our students is in the person of Jesus Christ. Our philosophy is not to try to raise students outside of their parents but rather to partner with them, no matter what situation they are in, so that God's design and importance of the family can be recovered.
Every Wednesday I am honored to teach and challenge our students with God's infallible Word. This ministry would not be what it is without the many adult leaders who deeply care about our students. Together we are striving to build relationships with each student and their family in efforts to make disciples of Christ. Finally, we also offer various student and family aimed Sunday School classes and opportunities outside of church to serve in our community.
Currently we offer the follow ministry opportunities:
Junior and Senior High Youth Group
Experience Bible teaching and small group interaction (iGroups) while
engaging with other youth for food and games. Currently we are studying
the Gospel message starting with the question, "Who Is God?", then
moving into "What Is Sin?", and finally discovering "Why Did Jesus Die?"
Local Mission Projects
We as a church family believing in proclaiming Christ in our actions and not just our words. Youth are offered a variety of different service projects to pursue with their iGroups or with other friends that serve our local community and even those who are suffering around the world.
